Jarod Bogan's homer powers Jolly Joe's to a 9-2 victory

YOUNGSTOWN -- Jarod Bogan's three hits included a home run and drove in five runs as Jolly Joe's pounded Dicioccio 9-2 Monday in Class AA baseball at Pemberton-Donnell Park.
Shane Davis and Sean Weyant each had two hits for the winners while Mark Nightingale doubled. Dan Cashon was the winning pitcher, tossing a three-hitter.
Rick Moser had two hits for Dicioccio.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Stanfield Daer was the winning pitcher in the game shortened to five innings because of rain.
Matt Raiti doubled twice to bring in three runs for the winners while Kinsey Henderson had one.

AKRON -- B.B. Rooners scored seven runs in the sixth inning to rally for a 10-9 victory over Akron Falcons.
Jeff Hehr had three hits and two RBIs for Rooners (15-1). Shane Scott added a pair of singles and three RBIs. Josh Faltot had a double.
Scott was also the winning pitcher, with 21/3 innings of relief.
