DeVores to mark golden event by renewing vows



XWARREN -- The Rev. and Mrs. George E. DeVore II of Warren will observe their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their marriage vows during a ceremony June 28 at First Assembly of God in Girard. A reception at The Gentry in Hubbard will follow.
The couple's children and their spouses are Kenneth and Debbie DeVore of Chesterland, Gina and Dale Larrison of Champion, and Lynn and Kevin Crouch of Cortland. Eight grandchildren complete the family.
The Rev. Mr. DeVore and the former Bernice McGaffick exchanged wedding vows April 11, 1953, in Chester, W.Va. Mr. DeVore worked at Top Value Enterprise, Hubbard, for 18 years and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He has been a minister for 31 years. Now semiretired, he is a transportation supervisor at The Vindicator in Youngstown.
Mrs. DeVore was a member of The Master's Maids, a singing trio. She also was a missionary in India, and she and her husband served as missionaries in Haiti. The couple, who returned to Ohio in 2001, are affiliated with Calvary Ministry International, based in Fort Wayne, Ind.
