FINANCE
YOUNGSTOWN -- United Community Financial Corp. named Patrick Kelly as chief financial officer, in addition to his title of treasurer. Kelly had been chief financial officer of Home Savings and Loan Co., a subsidiary of United Community. The Canfield resident received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Kent State University and his master's degree in business administration from The University of Cincinnati.
Home Savings promoted Patrick Bevack to executive vice president and chief financial officer and hired Timothy Esson as vice president of finance. Bevack had been senior vice president of mortgage banking. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in finance from Cleveland State University. Esson has held various management positions in the industry and has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Dayton.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Diana Hogg has been named senior vice president of National City's private client group, which provides customized financial solutions. She joined National City in 1994 in the private banking department in Youngstown. The Hubbard resident received her bachelor's degree from Westminster College.
NORTH LIMA -- Sky Bank promoted James Wilson to financial center manager in North Lima. He had been financial center manager in Canfield. The Youngstown resident has a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in business administration from Youngstown State University.
POLAND -- Brian Laraway has joined the Brennan Financial Group's Poland office as a registered principal of New England Securities. The Canfield resident has a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in business administration from Youngstown State University.
HEALTH CARE
FARRELL, Pa. -- Dr. Michelle Wright, an obstetrician and gynecologist, has joined the medical staff of UPMC Horizon. She has an office in Sharon. A Hubbard High School alumna, she graduated from Ohio University in 1990 and earned her medical degree in 1995 from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Anabel Cupeles has been promoted from home health aide to senior care specialist at Cambridge Home Health Care's Youngstown branch. The Youngstown resident has been with the company for two years.
RETAIL
FOWLER -- Bob Lingsch of Fowler has been promoted to regional vice president for Advance Auto Parts, covering parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and West Virginia. He joined the company in 1997 as a store assistant manager and most recently had been district manager.
TELEMARKETING
AUSTINTOWN -- InfoCision Management Corp. promoted William VanHorn III to program supervisor in its Austintown call center. The Niles resident and Marine Corps veteran joined the company has a communicator last year.
