CAMPBELL School board OKs pacts for stadium renovations
Locker room renovations must be finished before the first home football game.
CAMPBELL -- The board of education recently awarded four contracts for Phase I renovations to the high school stadium.
Phase I consists of renovation of locker room facilities and must be completed by mid-August in time for the high school's first home football game, said James A. Ciccolelli, superintendent. After the 2003 football season ends, renovations will begin on the rest of the facility.
The board awarded the general trades contract to DeSalvo Construction. DeSalvo's bid of $223,650 was more than $4,000 less than the next lowest.
Other companies vying for the contract were The Murphy Contracting Co., which bid $227,927; DJ Porter Co., which bid $230,000; and Terreri Construction, which bid $281,000.

The board awarded the contract for plumbing to Antenucci Inc., which bid $69,645. Thornton & amp; Sons Heating and Cooling bid $84,534; Prout Boiler Heating & amp; Welding bid $89,000.
D & amp;G Mechanical was awarded the contract for heating, ventilating and air conditioning. D & amp;G's bid of $39,100 was almost $10,000 lower than the next lowest bid, $48,800 submitted by York Mahoning Mechanical Contractors. Service-Temp Heating & amp; Cooling bid $54,836; Thornton & amp; Sons Heating and Cooling bid $63,064.
The board awarded the electrical contract to Tri-Area Electrical, which bid $41,704.
Enertech Electrical bid $46,231. University Electric Inc. bid $49,875. Geller-Warden Electric bid $52,000, and Santon Electric Co. Inc. bid $61,000.
