Sharon schools
The Sharon school board opened bids on the renovation of a building at East State Street and Forker Boulevard as the district's new Alternative Education Program center for pupils with behavioral and other problems. Work is to begin immediately so the center will be ready for occupancy in the fall. The apparent low bidders are:
General construction: Linton Industries of New Castle: $24,800.
Heating & amp; ventilating: D & amp;G Mechanical Inc. of West Middlesex: $52,715.
Plumbing: Shipley Plumbing Inc. of Cranberry Township, Pa.: $13,900.
Electrical: Santon Electric Co. Inc. of Youngstown: $39,750.
Parking lot: Butch & amp; McCree Paving Co. of Hillsville: $165,175.
