DeLuca has a blast at long-drive contest

Pro golfer Annette DeLuca flashes a smile upon hearing how far she hit her ball in the Schwebel's Long-Drive Contest. DeLuca's 259-yard drive won Tuesday's competition, one of the events leading up to this weekend's Giant Eagle LPGA Classic at Squaw Creek Country Club in Vienna. The Butler Wick Shoot-Out was also Tuesday, and the Classic Pro-Am begins today. Dorothy Delasin and Jackie Gallagher-Smith won the Shoot-Out.
At right, Luke Larkin, 10 months, checks out the ball that pro Julie Piers threw to him on the ninth hole. Piers also threw balls to Luke's siblings: Shannon, 4, and Riley, 6. The kids took in Tuesday's events with their mother, Amy. They are from Kent.
