WARREN -- The Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County's shelter will be open from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays beginning next week.
The shelter is open from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Devil strip reminder
GIRARD -- The city is advising residents not to put anything, including portable basketball hoops, on devil strips.
They must be removed by July 15 or they will be taken away by the city at the property owner's expense.
The strip between the sidewalk and curb is part of the street. State law says the city is responsible for keeping the street open and free from nuisances.
