Kathryn Bascom to be bride of Matthew Tallman



XBELMONT, N.C. -- Kathryn Bascom and Matthew Tallman, both of 2415 Belsite Drive, are announcing their engagement and plans for an autumn wedding.
The bride-elect, who is formerly of Youngstown and Leavittsburg, is a daughter of Robert Bascom of Fairfax, Va., and the late Laurie Brown. She graduated from Kent State University with a degree in educational studies, and is a teacher with Bright Horizons Family Solutions in Charlotte, N.C.
Parents of the future groom are Michael and Sharon Tallman of Elgin, Ill. He holds a degree in psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne, Ill., and is a pilot with Mesa Airlines in Charlotte.
The Oct. 11 wedding planned by the couple will take place at 3 p.m. at Northwood Farm in Leavittsburg, where a reception will be held afterward. Invitations will be extended for both.
