JCC June 23 sports event is renamed

Proceeds benefit activities and services at the center.
VIENNA -- The Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, will sponsor its Suzi Solomon Golf and Tennis Classic June 23 at Squaw Creek Country Club.
The fifth annual fund-raiser has been renamed to honor the late Suzi Solomon, who was an avid golfer and sportswoman.
Event details
The golf outing will begin with lunch at 11:30 a.m. A shotgun tee off is scheduled for 1 p.m. The cost for golfers is $165 and includes a cart and range and locker facilities.
The tennis fee entry is $75. The fee includes court time, locker facilities and courtside refreshments. Players may sign up with partners or be paired with another single.
The fees for golfers and tennis players also include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, lunch and dinner. Prizes and raffle tickets for resort packages will be featured.
Nonplayers are welcome for a day of swimming and dinner or just dinner at a cost of $50.
In case of rain, the social time, dinner and other festivities will go on as scheduled.
