Dump and Run campaignbrings in more than 5 tons of reusable articles
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State University students donated more than 5 tons of unwanted but reusable items to the Addiction Program Mahoning County through the university's annual Dump and Run campaign.
YSU collected the furniture, books, appliances and other unwanted items when more than 1,000 students moved out of residence halls last month. The university is the first in Ohio to partner with the national nonprofit Dump and Run group for such a program.
This summer, the university holds the YSU Recycles Mania contest to determine which campus building recycles the most material. The program, started by student Dan Kuzma, runs through Aug. 8.
