VIENNA -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol has determined that alcohol played a part in the accident that killed a 31-year-old Boardman motorcyclist Saturday morning.
Kevin Gnapp died in the accident, off Warren-Sharon Road. The motorcycle was heading west before veering off the road, hitting a ditch and crashing through the fence in front of a house between Sodom-Hutchings and Warren roads, state patrol reports say.
The accident was discovered when the homeowner arrived home at 5:30 a.m.
Gnapp was wearing a helmet.
The patrol has not said what Gnapp's alcohol-blood content level was.

He was found around 10:30 a.m. Friday, and police said there were no obvious signs of injury. An autopsy failed to immediately determine the cause of death.
