4 hurt in car crash
BAZETTA -- A crash on Bazetta Road injured four people about 4 p.m. Saturday. Darlene Bell, 41, of Warren was in stable condition Saturday night at St. Elizabeth Health Center with unspecified injuries. Ohio State Highway Patrol said a car driven by Richard Sheely, 19, of Niles crossed the center line and hit the car Bell was driving. Sheely had minor injuries. Three passengers were in the Bell car. Gloria Garber, 72, of Warren was taken to St. Joseph Health Center with unspecified injuries. Ralph Bell, 47, of Warren also suffered unspecified injuries. Police didn't list any injuries for a child in the car, Kenneth Bell, 11.
Wreck kills motorcyclist
VIENNA -- A Boardman man was killed in a motorcycle accident off Warren-Sharon Road before 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
The motorcycle was heading west before veering off the road, hitting a ditch and crashing through the fence in front of a house between Sodom-Hutchings and Warren roads, Ohio State Highway Patrol reports say.
The accident was discovered when the homeowner arrived home at 5:30 a.m.
The patrol is withholding the name of the victim pending notification of his family. He was wearing a helmet.
Imagination Station
BAZETTA -- Bazetta, Cortland and Mecca will celebrate Ohio's bicentennial at Bazetta Township Park's Imagination Station from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Residents are urged to bring a picnic lunch. Games, entertainment and food will be provided. Various bands and singers will participate in the Flag Day celebration. Prize drawings will be held throughout the day.
SCOPE meeting
CORTLAND -- Azaad Kharira will give a presentation on the therapeutic value of laughter at the SCOPE Lake Vista meeting at 10 a.m. Friday at the Lake Vista Club House.
Attendees are urged to bring a finger food to share.
