COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Evan Bertke hit an RBI single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning as St. Henry won its third state championship by beating Gahanna Columbus Academy 3-2 Saturday in Division III.
Lenny Koesters started the inning by singling, he stole second and moved to third on an error. Andrew Huelsman and Tom Wenning were intentionally walked to load the bases. After a fielder's choice, Bertke singled to right field to drive in Huelsman with the winning run.
Bryan Morosky took the loss for the Vikings (28-5). Morosky allowed one run on three hits in 2 2-3 innings of relief.
Todd Boeckman got the win for the Redskins (29-3). He allowed no runs and three hits in 4 2-3 innings of relief.
