AKRON -- Luis Gonzalez hit for the cycle and Jake Robbins was perfect in three innings of relief, as the Akron Aeros beat the Reading Phillies 7-5 Friday night in the Eastern League.
Gonzalez doubled down the line in left in the first inning with two outs, starting a two-run rally.
Gonzalez started Akron's half of the third with a triple to right, down the line. Ron Wright followed with a home run to left that put the Aeros ahead 4-3.
Gonzalez homered to left-center with two outs in the fourth.
Ryan Church, who reached base on an error and then stole second, scored the go-ahead run in the seventh on Corey Smith's single.
