Tickets for a 50-50 raffle will be $1 each or six for $5 and can be purchased at the shrine hall. The drawing will be Saturday. Refreshments will be available.
XThe official Ohio Bicentennial coverlet may be purchased locally from the Viets Museum. The woven, vertical cotton tapestry is 51 by 68 inches and features a red barn with the bicentennial logo in the center. A variety of Ohio scenes and symbols form the border. Coverlets are $50 and may be ordered by sending a check in that amount to the museum at 224 N. High St., Cortland, Ohio 44410. A phone number should be included. There is no shipping charge. TRIPS
XSt. James Over-50 Club will sponsor a bus trip Aug. 14 to the Sorrowful Mother Shrine, Bellevue. The cost is $29 and includes lunch and gratuity. The bus will leave White Hall at the church in Warren at 7:30 a.m. and return about 6 p.m. The day also will include Mass, Stations of the Cross, rosary and benediction.
