STATE BASEBALL Milford rolls easily in Div. I semifinal
Cincinnati St. Xavier won the other division contest.

COLUMBUS -- Eric Lawson went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and Kyle Rapp had three hits and scored three times to lead Milford to an 11-3 win over Cuyahoga Falls in a Division I state baseball semifinal Thursday.
Neil Gamble and Jacob Chalupa added two hits and two RBIs apiece for Milford (30-2), which will play Cincinnati St. Xavier for the championship on Saturday.
Dan Victor and Mike Zimmerman each had two hits for Cuyahoga Falls (25-7). Starter Kevin Koloniar allowed eight runs on 10 hits in 3 2/3 innings.
Cin. St. Xavier 4, Perrysburg 1
J.T. Imming had two hits and drove in two runs for St. Xavier.
Imming had an RBI single in the bottom of the first and an RBI groundout in the second as the Bombers (22-9) took a 4-0 lead.
Three of those runs came in the second. Patrick O'Donnell tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jordan Gula, Noah Lankford singled and scored on a triple by Aaron Prince and Imming drove in Prince with a groundout.
The Yellow Jackets (23-7) got their lone run in the seventh on an RBI double by Steve Calervo.
Minster 4, Sandusky St. Mary 2
Jon Kaylor had three hits and an RBI, and Josh Boeke and Scott Sherman combined on a three-hitter as Minster won in a Div. IV semifinal.
St. Mary (21-10) scored two runs in the sixth and got two runners on base in the seventh, but Sherman was able to get out of the jam for the save. Boeke (1-0) gave up two hits and two runs in 5 1/3 innings.
The Wildcats (20-7) scored once in the fourth on an RBI single by Scott Kuehner. They added three runs in the sixth when Sherman walked with the bases loaded and Ty Parks and Kaylor hit RBI singles.
Newark Catholic 2, Montpelier 1
Chris Wohleter had three hits and scored the winning run on Dusty Layton's two-out single in the bottom of the 10th inning.
Wohleter led off the inning with a single and stole second. After Tony Conizzaro popped out to short, Wohleter went to third on Jim Hobson's sacrifice bunt and scored on Layton's single to left.
The hit put Newark Catholic (27-5) in the championship game Saturday against Minster at Ohio State.
