St. Michael Garden Guild holds show

CANFIELD -- "Celebrating Ohio's Bicentennial" provided the theme for the flower show and dinner held May 28 by St. Michael Garden Guild of St. Michael Church at the parish center.
Best of Show awards went to Angela Behan for arrangements and Liz Rehlinger, horticulture.
Blue-ribbon winners for arrangements were Mrs. Behan, Trudy Defino, Doe Gallager, Pat Hoyle, Mrs. Rehlinger, Mary Ann Silvestri and Lucille Zyznar.
Winning blue ribbons for horticulture were Mrs. Behan, Peg Davis, Mrs. Hoyle, Mag Mitchell, Helen Mocher, Ruth Molvin, Jayne Nuttall, Mrs. Rehlinger, Ann Sims and Mrs. Zyznar.
Red-ribbon winners for arrangements were Mrs. Defino, Mrs. Mocher, Mrs. Nuttall, Mrs. Rehlinger and Margie Vernal.
Mrs. Behan, Dorothy Bellish, Geri Bertison, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Defino and Mrs. Mitchell won red ribbons in horticulture.
Yellow ribbons were won by Mrs. Defino, Mrs. Hoyle and Mrs. Molvin for arrangements and Mrs. Behan, Mrs. Defino, Linda Dercoli, Mrs. Molvin and Mrs. Vernal for horticulture.
Mrs. Defino presided, and Pearl Marlos judged the entries.
Mrs. Behan was clerk. Mrs. Hoyle and Mrs. Defino assisted with arrangements, and Mrs. Molvin with horticulture. Mrs. Defino, Kate Fitzgerald, Mrs. Hoyle, Mrs. Behan and Mrs. Rehlinger were hostesses.
