Army chaplain
Army Chaplain Lt. Col. Donald I. Lindman has retired from the Reserve after 28 years of military service.
Before retiring, Lindman was on active duty assigned to the 1079th Garrison Support Unit, Fort Dix, N.J, in support of the global war on terrorism.
He is the son of R. Virginia Lindman of Sebring. He graduated in 1961 from Boardman High School and received a bachelor's degree in 1965 from Thiel College, Greenville, Pa. He earned his master's degree in 1971 from Lutheran Theological Seminary, Gettysburg, Pa.

Army Reserve 2nd Lt. James R. Johnson, transportation officer basic course, Fort Eustis, Va. Johnson, the son of Judy A. and James R. Johnson of Cortland, is a 1984 graduate of Lakeview High School, Cortland, and a 1993 graduate of Kent State University.

Army Capt. Dustin W. Hockensmith was promoted to his current rank while deployed to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, to support Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
Hockensmith, a platoon leader, is the son of Richard and Donna Hockensmith of Warren. He graduated in 1988 from Howland Christian High School and received a bachelor's degree in 1995 from Cedarville College, Cedarville, Ohio.

Air Force Master Sgt. John A. Haldie III, who received an associate degree in applied science from the Community College of the Air Force, was named senior noncommissioned officer of the quarter as a recruiter with the 348th Recruiting Squadron, Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark.
He is the son of Carol A. Haynie of Youngstown, and is a 1985 graduate of LaBrae High School, Leavittsburg.

Burgett, a motor and rail transportation officer, is the son of Lois M. Burgett of Geneva, Ohio. His wife, Cynthia, is the daughter of Paul and Judy Davisson of Canfield. He is a 1990 graduate of Geneva High School and a 1994 graduate of Ohio State University.
UArmy National Guard Sgt. Kenneth P. Weber, undisclosed overseas forward operating location. He is regularly assigned to the 1485th Transporation Co. Weber, a motor transport operator, is the son of Ben P. Weber and brother of Robert F. Weber, both of East Liverpool. His wife, Patricia, is the daughter of Herbert D. and Patricia L. Kelly of Negley, and he is a 1977 graduate of East Liverpool High School.
