Program to give tips for fund raising
LIBERTY -- The Mahoning/Shenango Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is offering an educational program called "Planned Giving 101: Planting the Seeds for Future Gifts" beginning at 11:30 a.m. June 20 at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex.
The program, which includes lunch, will provide local fund-raising professionals with a basic overview of planned giving, by covering topics such as assessing organizational readiness and planned giving potential, building board support, marketing techniques and model standards of practice.
The program will be presented by Gloria Cagigas, vice president for Institutional Advancement for Westminster College, and Pat Palombo, development and stewardship director for the Diocese of Youngstown.
The program also will include table discussions conducted by experienced planned-giving experts who will share their successes and answer questions. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m. The cost is $15 for AFP members, $25 for nonmembers. Reservations are required. Call Sue Rudloff at (724) 946-7673 for more information.
