ASHLAND -- A fifth-inning single by pitcher Stephanie Moore was the key hit as Mantua Crestwood defeated New Concord John Glenn 6-2 Thursday in a Division II state softball semifinal.
The Red Devils (31-2) will play defending state champion Springfield Kenton Ridge in the title game at 10 a.m. Saturday.
With the score tied 2-2, Moore's hit drove in Brittany Mayle, with shortstop Emmy Ramsey's throwing error on the play allowing Kathleen Block to also score. Block had singled in the tying run earlier in the inning.
Mayle drove in a run in the first with a groundout and Michele Penney added an RBI Single in a two-run sixth.
The Muskies (28-5) scored both their runs in the fourth, with Kayla Bates hitting an RBI single.

ASHLAND -- Jenna Binz threw a no-hitter and Jessica Tuttle singled in a run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh.
Cherise Gantt started the inning with a double and was replaced by pinch-runner Elizabeth Dobyns. Dobyns moved to third on a sacrifice bunt and after Cassey Schutte struck out, scored on Tuttle's single to left.
Sycamore Mohawk 5, Rootstown 0
ASHLAND -- Hana Mohrman homered as Sycamore Mohawk won a Div. III semifinal.
The Warriors (29-1) scored three runs in the first on a double by Christa Coppus, an error and a sacrifice fly. They added one in the third on a double by Amanda Karcher and an RBI single by Aubrey Walton. Mohrman homered in the fifth.
Convoy Crestview 5,Portsmouth West 0
ASHLAND -- Alisha Etzler had two hits and an RBI for Convoy Crestview.
The Knights (27-0) got one run in the first inning when Jessica Cochran doubled and scored on a throwing error on Emily Millay's sacrifice bunt. They added four more in the fifth on RBI singles by Nikki Staten and Courtney Hartman, a sacrifice fly by Jamie Perkins and an RBI single by Etzler.
