BOARDMAN -- Simon Road Church of God will celebrate the installation of their new pastor, the Rev. Eddy Howard at 2 p.m. Sunday. A luncheon will be served after the service.
The Rev. Mr. Howard has served in many areas of ministry, including youth ministry, spiritual retreats and a recovery program for men.
Flame Fellowship speaker
BOARDMAN -- The Rev. Mike Guarnieri, senior pastor of The Father's House in Barberton, will be the guest speaker at the Flame Fellowship meeting June 16. His church has been in revival since October 2000. The meeting is at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park. A $7 buffet dinner is at 6 p.m. Reservations must be made by Friday by calling (330) 729-0832. The talk is at 7 p.m. The public is welcome to hear the speaker if unable to attend the dinner.
Pentecost observance
WARREN -- The Lutheran churches of the greater Warren area and the Episcopal churches of the Youngstown Deanery will celebrate the Feast of Pentecost at 4 p.m. Sunday in Christ Episcopal Church.
Ten years of work have brought the Lutheran and Episcopal churches into an agreement that culminated in an agreement to engage in a joint ministry that will celebrate both of their traditions and look for ways to work together.
The Rev. Robert M. Lindberg of Christ Church will serve as celebrant, and the Rev. Timothy Mentzer of Living Lord Lutheran in Howland will preach. A choir composed from the choirs of all the churches will provide music. A brass quartet also will perform.
Organ concert scheduled
NEW SPRINGFIELD -- New Springfield Church of God presents International concert organist Walt Strony at 7 p.m. next Saturday for the first of its semi-annual "pop" organ concert series. Strony was twice voted "organist of the year" by the American Theatre Organ Society.
This will be the first concert on the church's new four manual, 43-rank classical-theatre pipe organ. Tickets are $15 and are available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday at the Hummel Gift Shop or by calling (330) 549-3728. Proceeds go to the pipe organ fund.
Revival services

Gospel concert scheduled
HUBBARD -- Chestnut Ridge Church of God will present gospel singer Ed Enoch and Golden Covenant at 6 p.m. June 22. Enoch was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1997 and was nominated for Grammy Awards in 1995, 1997 and 1999 and has received numerous Dove Award nominations. The opening band for the evening will be Church Street Blues.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Antioch Baptist Church's youth department will present "A Pre-Father's Day Musical" at 6 p.m. next Saturday. It will include the Johnson Singers and the CD Chorale Ensemble, both from Washington D.C.
