YWCA of Youngstown installs new board members, gives awards
YOUNGSTOWN -- The YWCA of Youngstown installed newly elected board members and presented awards during the annual meeting May 28 at the YWCA.
Board officers for 2003-04 are Ruth Bradshaw of Warren, president; Susan Huber of Canfield, first vice president; Susan M. Moorer of Austintown, second vice president; Penny Miller of Struthers, treasurer; and Rosemary McLaughlin of Youngstown, secretary.
New members named to the board who will serve a term from 2003-06 are Patricia Brozik, Fran Curd and Susan Stricklin, all of Boardman; Stephanie I. Hunter of Canfield; and Shannon Tirone of Struthers.
Re-elected board members are Nancy Morris of Youngstown, Huber and Moorer.
Emily Eckman of New Castle, Pa., and Violet Morris of Girard were elected to the YMCA youth board.
Honorees
Receiving awards were Ruth Bradshaw of Warren, Board Member of the Year; Nicole Coleman of Hermitage, Pa., Volunteer of the Year; and Loretta Massaro of Boardman, Employee of the Year.
The YWCA of Youngstown has served Mahoning Valley residents for nearly 100 years. The agency continues to meet the needs of women and families through housing and supportive services, child care and youth development and health promotion series.
