Trumbull County Historical Society offers online tour of Edwards home

WARREN -- A brief tour of Trumbull County's oldest home will soon be just a click away.
The online voyage through the John Stark Edwards home on Monroe Street Northwest ends now at the west parlor -- an 1809 addition to the 1807 home.
But Trumbull County Historical Society officials hope to eventually extend the Internet tour, add displays of historical documents and perhaps even a county encyclopedia.
"We hope to whet people's appetites so they come and visit the home," said historical society President Dave Ambrose.
Ambrose also designed the organization's Web site, www.trumbullcountyhistory.org. The site went live in April, and has been regularly expanded ever since, he said.
Now, the site includes a history of the Edwards home, historical society by-laws, membership information and fliers for the Heritage Festival, planned for Sept. 20-21.
"We are adding more stuff online each week," Ambrose said.
