SHARON SPEEDWAY Regular program is scheduled

The World of Outlaws has some unfinished business when the series returns July 30.
HARTFORD -- Thanks to Mother Nature, the Outlaws will have some unfinished business when they return to Sharon Speedway on July 30.
Series officials were forced to wave the red flag on the "A" main of the O'Reilly World of Outlaws event at the Hartford track last Friday when a sudden downpour made the track unsafe for racing.
Dale Blaney was leading the charge when the red flag was displayed just seven laps into the 30-lap feature.
Fans who want to see the finish of the May 30 feature will have to purchase a ticket for the July 30 event.
Deemed complete
According to series officials, once the Outlaws run the dash races, they consider the show to be "complete."
Since both dashes and the "B" main were already in the books, the May 30 show is deemed a complete event, and no rainchecks will be issued.
"Fans who buy a ticket to the July 30 Outlaws show will be treated to two 'A' main events in one night," Sharon Speedway co-owner Dave Blaney said. "We'll complete the May 30 feature and then start an entirely new program, with qualifying, heats, dashes and mains, when the Outlaws return in July."
Reserved seats for the July 30 World of Outlaws show are available by calling the Sharon Speedway office at (330) 772-5481.
Reserved ticket prices are $27 for adults (ages 14 and older) and $14 for children (ages 3 to 13).
General admission seats will be available a few days prior to the event and the day of the show.
General admission ticket prices are $25 for adults 14 and older and $12 for children 6 to 13, and free for children 5 and younger.
Quest continues
The quest for points continues this Saturday with Week 7 of the 17-week series.
Competition in each of Sharon's four divisions -- Sunburst Environmental Sprints, Gibson-Governor Insurance Modifieds, Coy Brothers Trucking E-mods and City Disposal Services Pure Stocks -- has been fierce all season, and is sure to heat up again during ADESA Pittsburgh Night.
Members of the Twin State Auto Racing Club can watch the action for free by showing their membership card at the gate.
Saturday is also a night with kids' bicycle races and the second meeting of KIDS CREW on tap. Children in kindergarten through fourth grade can sign up for the KIDS CREW club that meets at the speedway from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 five times during the season for various activities prior to the evening's on-track action.
Gates open at 4 p.m., with hot laps beginning at 6:30 and racing at 7.
Tickets, available at the gate, cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 12-15, and are free for children 11 and younger. Coolers less than 14 inches are permitted.
The Speedway is located 10 miles north of I-80 in Hartford.
