Gelsomino jubilee is celebrated at country club

XGIRARD -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Gelsomino of Girard was celebrated during a dinner party held May 17 at the Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children, Eric J. Gelsomino of Girard, Annette M. Ciletti of Howland, and Michele M. Cleland of Austintown. There are also five grandchildren in the family.
The former Phyllis J. Santisi and Mr. Gelsomino were united in marriage May 18, 1953, at St. Rose Church, where they are members.
Mrs. Gelsomino retired in 1990 as the owner of Niles Sparkle Market Inc., Niles.
Mr. Gelsomino, who served with the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952 during the Korean War, is the owner of Niles Sparkle Market Inc. He is a past president of Niles Community Service and Niles Kiwanis Club and a former National City Bank board member, and is a trustee with the executive board of United Way of Trumbull County.
