NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- A Plain Grove Township man will spend eight to 25 years in state prison after keeping a woman prisoner in his home. Wayne Frazier Brabson, 46, of Arthur Drive, was sentenced recently by Judge Dominick Motto of Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
Brabson was arrested in September 2002 after a 37-year-old woman told state police she was forced to stay in Brabson's house for several weeks. She said she was punched, kicked and threatened during that time.
In March, a jury convicted Brabson on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats and unlawful restraint. Brabson was given credit for 271 days spent in jail while awaiting trial, according to court records.
