Roth's Irish drives home 4 runs; Lazart holds off Becdir comeback



STRUTHERS -- Kyle Irish drove in four runs as Roth Brothers defeated Youngstown Express 13-3 in Class B baseball action Monday at Cene Park.
Irish also got the victory by allowing three runs on four hits. He pitched six innings, and Jeff Claar pitched a scoreless seventh.
Claar led Roth Brothers with four hits while Joe McCrackin and Frank Kalinowski added two each, with McCrackin doubling. Paul Kalman also drove in two runs for Roth Brothers.
Nick Getsy drove in two of Express' three runs, while Mark Noday doubled.
Dan Monico was the losing pitcher.
Lazart 6, Becdir 5
Lazart scored five runs in the second inning and held off a Becdir rally for the victory.
Dan Delvca had three of Lazart's nine hits while Nate Shaw and Matt Lutz each doubled. Shaw also had two RBIs.
Drew Hazel earned the victory with Lutz getting the save. Jay Yorty took the loss.
Class AA
George Rohan allowed one hit and struck out 11 batters in six innings to lead Jolly Joe's to a 3-0 victory over Action Sports in Youngstown Class AA action at Pemberton Park.
Mark Nightingale, Shane Davis and Dean Palumbaro each had two hits for Jolly Joe's.
Matt Kish was the losing pitcher.

Three Salem Pathology pitchers combined on a no-hitter while Ryan Vaughn went 3-for-3.
