YWCA to offer programfor kids during summer
YOUNGSTOWN -- Young Women's Christian Association of Youngstown is offering a program for school-age children at two sites this summer: the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave., downtown, and Mill Creek Baptist Church, 2007 S. Schenley Ave.
The program will run from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, through Aug. 29. Age-appropriate groups and activities for children ages 6 to 12 will include field trips, sports, games, crafts, picnics and outside play.
The program includes certified teachers and staff skilled in child-care development. There is financial assistance available for those who qualify. The program is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
