CLASS B LEAGUE McKee's 5-for-5 hitting gives Rondinelli big lift



Dave Yost's five-inning two-hitter helped Astro Falcons' shutout win over Roth Brothers.
STRUTHERS -- Rondinelli Tuxedo scored 10 runs in the second inning en route to a 13-1 victory over Becdir Construction in Class B action Sunday at Cene Park.
Gabe McKee went 5-for-5 with a double and three RBIs for Rondinelli, while Lee Keck added two hits and two RBIs in the 10-hit attack.
Rick Banna earned the victory for Rondinelli. Jeremy Hartman took the loss.
Astro Falcons 13, Roth Brothers 0
Dave Yost pitched a two-hit shutout as the Astro Falcons routed Roth Brothers in a five-inning game. Astro Falcons took control with five runs in the second inning.
Line Drive 11, Lazart 1
Vasili Pahoulis allowed the one run on four hits to lead Line Drive to victory. Line Drive scored seven runs in the third inning. Dan Ford homered and doubled for the winners.
Livi Steel 9, Youngstown Express 7
Livi Steel scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 7-7 tie. The late runs made a winner out of Mike Holmes. Doug Brown shut down Express in the seventh for the save.
Wharmby Sports 8, Youngstown Propane 4
Wharmby Sports put the game out of reach early with seven runs in the first inning.
Astros 13, Becdir 3
Robert Shannon and John Morris combined on a six-inning one-hitter for Astros.
Shannon pitched 51/3 innings before Morris relieved in the sixth.
Of Astros' 12 hits, Chad Baker had three and Brent Parks and Frank Turocy two apiece. Parks and Baker each had a triple. Also for the winners, Bill Christian had four RBIs with Jim Eimiller and Baker each having two. Adam Boris had the lone hit for Becdir.
Rondinelli 4, Wharmby's 2
Rick Vickers had 11 strikeouts in a six-hitter against Wharmby's.
Scott Bender, Mike DeNiro, Rick Banna and Lee Keck had hits for Rondinelli's while Donnie Kirkwood went 2-for-3 for Wharmby's. Also, Wharmby catcher Joe Lopez had a double.
