"People are getting ready for the bicentennial celebration in July," she said. Other popular sellers at Western Reserve Flag include military flags and flags made in the United States. "After Sept. 11, a lot of people were buying American flags that were actually made in China. We encourage people to look at the label and buy only American-made flags," Lind said. A standard 3-by-5-foot American or Ohio bicentennial flag costs about $10 to $43, Lind said. Lind said buying a flag that's been pre-treated with DuPont's SolarMax will deter fading.
