POINT SYSTEM If you speed

Point system for 65 mph speed limit areas:
76 to more than 100 mph, 2 points first offense.
76 to 80 mph, 1 point if second offense within one year, 2 points if third.
81 to 85 mph, 2 points if second offense within one year, 4 points if third.
86 to 90 mph, 3 points if second offense within one year, 6 points if third.
91 to 95 mph, 4 points if second offense within one year, 8 points if third.
96 to 100 mph, 5 points if second offense within one year, 10 points if third.
More than 100 mph, penalty increased by 1 point for each additional 5 mph for second offense within one year, penalty increase by 2 points for each additional 5 mph if third offense.
A driver who accumulates 12 points within two years has his driver's license suspended for six months. Operating a vehicle while under suspension subjects the driver to six months in jail and $1,000 fine.
