Leetonia school boardto interview finalists
LEETONIA -- The board of education will meet in executive session at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to interview finalists for the position of high school principal.
Superintendent Thomas Inchak said there are now three finalists from a field of about 20 people who applied for the position. He said the board hopes to be ready to hire a principal at the June 25 board meeting.
The board voted in March not to renew the contract of John Rydarowicz, who has nearly 30 years' experience as an educator. Rydarowicz has been high school principal for two years. His contract expires July 31.
The board offered Rydarowicz a high school teaching position, but he will retire, Inchak said.
