Maplewood gains regional showdown

ELYRIA -- Jake Abbott allowed five hits, striking out five, as the Maplewood High baseball team defeated Lorain Catholic 4-3 in a Division IV regional semifinal game Friday.
The Rockets (19-4) advanced to the regional championship to face Sandusky St. Mary's today at 1 p.m.
Joe Young hit two home runsand drove in all four runs for the Rockets.
