BASS CLASSIC The results

Nick Prvonozac was like a pinball Saturday morning on Evans Lake, bouncing around and scoring often on largemouth bass to win the fourth annual Youngstown/Mahoning Valley United Way Bass Classic.
Prvonozac, of Warren, brought in a five-bass limit weighing 15.16 pounds to win the $1,000 top prize in the pro division of the tournament. His partner, Chris Ryman of Akron, won the amateur division and the keys to a Hummer for a weekend, courtesy of Greenwood Chevy Hummer.
Second place and $750 went to Tom Ventresco of North Lima. He and his partner, Jim Fisher, also caught a limit that weighed 12.86 pounds. Fisher, a Sky Bank vice president, earned a $200 Dick's Sporting Goods gift certificate.
Third was George Prvonozac, Nick's brother, with four bass weighing 10.16 pounds, good for $500. His amateur partner was Al Hustosky, Northfield Center, who pocketed a $100 Dick's gift certificate.
The winner said he caught his fish on a jigs, crankbaits and soft plastics as he moved often to hit spots where rocks and weeds converged.
Big bass honors in the pro division were claimed by Dave Williams of Canfield. His 5.52-pound largemouth hit a plastic tube. Vinyl Profiles President Randy Vegso earned the amateur big bass prize for his 2.76-pound fish.
