Man pleads innocent to vehicular homicide
LISBON -- A Salem man faces a maximum eight-year prison sentence and a $15,000 fine if he is convicted in a 2002 traffic death.
Terry Endsley Jr., 27, of Newgarden Ave., pleaded innocent earlier this week, when he was arraigned in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court on a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide, a second-degree felony.
Endsley is charged in the February 2002 traffic death of Benjamin Kastanek, 24, of 4467 Woodsdale Road, Butler Township.
Authorities say Endsley was driving under the influence of alcohol when his car went off Woodsdale Road in Butler Township.
The crash injured Endsley and caused the death of Kastanek, who was riding in the car, authorities say.
Endsley is free on a $25,000 personal recognizance bond. The case is being heard by Judge C. Ashley Pike, who set a pretrial hearing for June 27.
