WARREN -- Delphi Packard Electric Systems in Warren was recognized as one of Freightliner LLC's top performing suppliers for meeting strict quality standards and demonstrating a commitment to quality improvement. Freightliner presented Delphi Packard and its sister company Delphi Delco Electronics Systems with its 2003 Masters of Quality Award. Delphi Packard overlays and sequences wiring assemblies at several Freightliner plants in North America; Delphi Delco Electronics supplies a selection of heavy-duty audio systems to the company.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Mike Kovach, owner of City Machine Technologies in Youngstown, witnessed the signing of the tax-cut bill last week by President Bush. Kovach was among a group of small-business owners invited to the ceremony by the National Federation of Independent Businesses. Kovach had participated in a private meeting and press conference on tax reform with the president in April.
