HUBBARD -- Jesus Is The Way Ministries of Liberty will sponsor a Christian family fellowship banquet at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Brentford House Banquet Center. Lelia Y. Fun fair at mosque
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Muslim house of worship, Masjid Al-Khair, will hold a fun fair from noon to 5 p.m. today. The mosque is located off Interstate 680 (exit 8 Indianola/Shirley), 1670 Homewood Ave. The general public is invited to attend. Pastoral anniversary
STRUTHERS -- Fellowship Church of God in Christ will celebrate the pastoral anniversary of Richard E. Children's crusade
GIRARD -- First Assembly of God will host a free Kids Quest Children's Crusade from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays June 4-18 for children from age 4 through sixth grade. Kids Quest will feature games, prizes and clowns.
In July, the church will offer SCUBA, Super Cool Undersea Bible Adventure, every Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. SCUBA will feature characters, games, crafts, snacks and Bible stories.

Senior seminar on Islam
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State University will offer a seminar on the religious beliefs, practices, history and art of Islam from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 14 in Kilcawley Center.
The seminar is part of CROW, Creative Retirement Opportunities That Work, which provides intensive learning experiences to senior citizens.
Lecturers are Mustansir Mir, professor of Islamic studies; Stephanie Smith, assistant professor of art; Dr. Ikram Khawaja, professor of geology and environmental sciences; and Imam Dawud Abdullah from the Youngstown Islamic Center.

Bishop to preside
YOUNGSTOWN -- Bishop Thomas J. Tobin will preside at the 10th anniversary celebration of the Apostolate for Perpetual Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Vespers will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. The event is open to the public; a reception will follow services.
Prayer rally in Austintown
AUSTINTOWN -- Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church will hold a prayer rally at 7 p.m. Friday.
Women's meeting
YOUNGSTOWN -- The United Methodist Women of Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church will meet at the church at 12:15 p.m. Thursday. Lunch, a salad smorgasbord, will be served at 1 p.m. Edith Thornton will discuss education and interpretation. The United Methodist Women will not meet in July or August; regular meetings will resume in September.
Worship in the woods
CANFIELD -- Western Reserve United Methodist Church will hold worship in the woods services in Woodland Haven at 5 p.m. every Saturday through Aug. 30.
Special music
AUSTINTOWN -- Tia Ciferno of North Mar Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Warren will perform at The West Austintown First United Methodist Church at the 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship services June 8.
Members graduating from high school or college will also be recognized during the 10:45 a.m. service.
