BANKING
WARREN -- First Place Bank has hired Don Nichol as a registered investment representative to work in its Northgate office. Nichol, who has more than 20 years' experience in investment services, came to the company from Second National Bank.
HERMITAGE -- F.N.B. Corp. has promoted David B. Mogle to senior vice president and secretary. Based in Hermitage, he will be responsible for all corporate investment activities and for market strategy for the financial services company. Mogle joined F.N.B. in 1976 and has held a succession of positions, most recently serving as vice president of finance.
He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Thiel College, is a graduate of the Pennsylvania School of Banking and earned credentials from the American Institute of Banking.
LAW
STRUTHERS -- Andrea Limberty, a Struthers native, has been promoted to associate at Weston Hurd Fallon Paisley & amp; Howley Counselors at Law in Cleveland. Limberty is a 1992 graduate of Struthers High School and earned her bachelor's degree at Youngstown State University. She has a master's degree from Cleveland State University and a law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
INSURANCE
BOARDMAN -- Michele S. Gatto, a Boardman native, was promoted to executive vice president of National Life Insurance Group in Montpelier, Vt., where she had been general counsel and senior vice president since 1999.
She also assumed management responsibility for the human resources department two years ago. Gatto came to the company from Massachusetts Casualty Insurance Company, where she was vice president. He has a master's degree from Youngstown State University and was a teacher and guidance counselor in the Boardman Local Schools before entering the legal profession.
MANUFACTURING
POLAND -- Craig C. Malone, a Poland native, has been promoted to group leader for indirect materials at the General Motors Corvette/Cadillac Plant in Bowling Green, Ky. He was transferred to the Kentucky facility from GM's Grand River Assembly Plant in Lansing, Mich. A graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and Kent State University, Malone is completing course work for a master's degree in business.
RETAIL
NORTH LIMA -- James Gilbert of New Waterford has joined 84 Lumber Co. as a manager trainee at its North Lima store. Gilbert graduated from Crestview High School and attended Kent State University and the University of Phoenix.
