GIRARD
May 25
Criminal damaging: An East Liberty Street girl reported four female juveniles tried to start a fight with her and kicked in and damaged a screen door to her residence.
May 26
Criminal damaging: A man in the 400 block of East Kline Street reported some of his vehicle's windows were broken.
Vandalism: A man in the 100 block of East Wilson Avenue alleged his former girlfriend broke both of his vehicle's headlights, damaged its battery and scratched its hood. He also said she may have placed something in the car's gas tank.
LIBERTY
May 20
Assault: An employee at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, called police after two students reported being assaulted. One student said he was struck in the groin area and the other victim said his head was pushed against a wall. A 15-year-old boy was charged with assault and juvenile delinquency.
Burglary: A woman in the 6100 block of Klines Drive reported someone broke into her garage and removed her cat.
Criminal damaging: Someone broke a front window pane at Studio 2000 Hair Designs, 3622 Belmont Ave.
May 21
Thefts: An employee at Goodwill Industries, 2747 Belmont Ave., reported a mountain bike stolen. Also, another employee said a carpet cleaner was removed from his vehicle.
May 22
Theft/criminal damaging: Someone removed a statue and damaged a concrete deer ornament at a residence in the 1200 block of Townsend Avenue.
Theft: A backpack, rain gear, camping cookware and a sleeping bag were taken from a vehicle parked in the 1700 block of Lucretia Drive.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle on Belmont Avenue for speeding, police arrested a 31-year-old Youngstown man wanted on a charge of possession of cocaine.
Arrest: After stopping a vehicle on Interstate 80 and determining it was stolen, police charged a 30-year-old Youngstown man with receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon and theft.

Arrest: After a traffic stop on Belmont Avenue, a 32-year-old Niles man was arrested on a warrant charging him with a tax violation.
May 24
Arrest: Police alleged a 26-year-old Youngstown man fled on foot after they stopped his vehicle at a BP gas station, 2703 Belmont Ave. He was charged with failure to comply with the orders of a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon, improper display of an expired license plate and being reckless on private property.
Theft: A woman in the 2500 block of Cardinal Drive reported her purse stolen.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 3400 block of Breeze Knoll Drive alleged his former girlfriend smashed both of his vehicle's headlights after he refused to lend her money.
Theft: A man in the 4100 block of Logan Gate Road reported two 4-way speakers and other stereo equipment removed from his car.
May 25
Arrest: Police charged a 32-year-old Youngstown man with three counts of aggravated menacing after three victims on Colonial and Green Acres drives alleged he threatened them with a gun.

Assault: A Tuttle Street woman reported an 11-year-old boy choked her son in the 10 block of Scott Lane.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 1700 block of Keefer Road and stole a videocassette recorder, a TV/VCR unit, a compact-disc stereo and an undetermined amount of coins.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 2400 block of Tibbets-Wick Road reported someone drove a vehicle through his yard and damaged his lawn.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 2900 block of Roosevelt Drive discovered her vehicle's driver's-side window broken.
Domestic violence: A 52-year-old Hubbard man was arrested on a domestic-violence charge after police said they heard him yell at his wife and push her to the ground when she tried to let officers into the residence.

Attempted burglary: A Harry Street woman reported a man tried to break into her residence.
May 23
Theft: A woman reported a license plate stolen off her vehicle in the 100 block of Christian Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A Masury man alleged his girlfriend kicked his car after they argued in the 400 block of West Liberty Street.

Theft: A man reported someone broke into his vehicle while he ate at C's Waffle House, 920 W. Liberty St.

Theft: Someone broke into a vehicle in an apartment complex in the 500 block of West Liberty Street.
Theft: A Bedford Road woman reported someone broke into her car while she was at Bell Wick Bowl, 6105 W. Liberty St.

Theft: A Boardman man reported someone stole his golf clubs while he was at the Deer Creek Golf Course, 7691 E. Liberty St.
Attempted breaking and entering: Some juveniles tried to break into a concession stand at Jones Field.

Arrest: After responding to a man and woman fighting, police charged a Parkview Avenue woman with violation of a protection order.
