XYOUNGSTOWN -- A honeymoon on a western Caribbean cruise followed the wedding of Andrew Pettitt and his bride, the former Angela Gianoglio, both of 4611 Market St., Boardman, who were married at 5:30 p.m. May 3 at Sacred Heart Church.
The Rev. Charles Poore officiated for the daughter of Ronald and Jacquelyn Gianoglio, 3856 Daytona Drive, Austintown, and the son of Willard Pettitt, 7053 West Blvd., Boardman, and Virginia Pettitt, 70 Kris St., Girard.
A reception was held at the Calvin J. Malone Operating Engineers Union Hall, Boardman.
Beaded Venise lace adorned the satin bodice of the bride's gown, which was styled with a basque waistline.
Honor attendants were the bride's sisters, Pamela and Patricia Gianoglio, both of Austintown. Bridesmaids were Annamaria Dillon of Youngstown and Karen Koszela of Boardman, the bride's cousins, and Ellen DeCarlo of Youngstown. They wore black and white dresses.
The groom's brother, Matthew Pettitt, was best man. Groomsmen were Sean Dillon of Youngstown and Gabriel Whorten of Austintown, the bride's cousins; Nicholas Pettitt of Hawaii, his cousin; and Scott Meeker of Virginia.
Mrs. Pettitt graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and from Bowling Green State University with a master's in American culture studies. She is an English instructor at YSU.
Her husband has an associate degree from Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, Pittsburgh, and is the co-owner of Pizza Works.
