YOUNGSTOWN -- An account has been opened at Sky Bank to help pay burial costs for Alexander Hernandez, 5, of Magnolia Avenue who died Monday at St. Elizabeth Health Center after a crash Sunday on the North Side.
Donations can be made at any Sky Bank branch. The account was opened by Missionary Church of Christ, 1649 Shehy St.
Clean water report
YOUNGSTOWN -- There were no violations in the city's federally mandated safe drinking water report for 2002.
There are 65,000 tests done each year for 125 regulated and unregulated contaminants and 20 secondary contaminants.
The city buys and distributes about 19 million gallons of water a day through 750 miles of pipe to customers in the city, Austintown, Boardman, Canfield Township, North Jackson and Liberty. The city sells water to Mineral Ridge, Girard and the city of Canfield.
