More enroll at YSU
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State University officials expect enrollment will continue to increase with the fall semester, beginning Aug. 25.
As of July 21, YSU's office of enrollment management reports 10,177 students had enrolled at YSU for fall classes, compared with 9,891 at the same time last year. That's a 2.9 percent increase.
If the numbers hold, it would be the third consecutive year enrollment has gone up at YSU.
Enrollment is counted in two ways: Head count reflects the number of students enrolled, and full-time equivalent shows the number of students enrolled full time.
Full-time equivalent enrollment is up 2.5 percent for the fall, from 8,487 last year to 8,700.
