Browns' 10 major questions answered

BEREA -- Enough talking. Enough debate. I'm already sick of it. For the past few months, the same lousy question has been hanging over the Browns like a bad stench. It's time to put an end to it once and for all.
The question, of course, is this: Is Qasim Mitchell the real deal?
The answer? Maybe.
"He's a big guy and he's got a lot of talent," veteran guard Shaun O'Hara said. "But the offensive line is about more than one guy. It's a unit. I have no doubt we're going to find the best five linemen by the end of camp."
There. Hopefully, that's enough to satisfy all the radio callers, Internet junkies and disgruntled fans for at least a few weeks.
Since I can't answer every other question facing the Browns entering training camp, I've decided to pick the 10 major ones in hopes that you, my beloved readers, can at least know what to expect.
First things first
1. What's the deal with the quarterback situation?
Well, it's been a tough battle, but thanks to a lot of off-season work and a solid performance in mini-camps, Josh Booty has emerged as the favorite to win the No. 3 quarterback job.
2. How will the decision to draft a long-snapper in the fifth round affect the special teams?
Browns coach Butch Davis has decided to mount a sneak attack. Most opposing teams will be too busy laughing about the Browns' draft that they will be unprepared for fake punts and field goals.
It's diabolical, yet brilliant. That's why I love it.
3. I noticed that quarterback Tim Couch bleached his hair this off-season. What gives?
He did it as a personal favor. When we both had light brown hair, women had a hard time telling us apart.
4. Will James Jackson see any action at running back?
I'll let Butch Davis answer this one.
"Absolutely," Davis said. "We expect him to make a key contribution to the team.... Who's James Jackson?"
5. What do we need to know about rookie free agent Mason Unck?
Well, he's just the latest to come out of the football hotbed of Ogden, Utah; his name can be rearranged to spell Smack Noun; and he has recovered from an earlier ACL injury, but he probably won't recover from the new ACL coming to his life -- the About to be Cut List.
Favorite names
6. Does Josh Booty have the best name on the team?
Depends on who you ask. Some favor Booty, while others prefer Chad Mustard. Interesting note: the Browns' top draft pick was actually named after a Carly Simon song called "You're So Faine."
7. A lot is made of the divide between Browns fans and Steelers fans in the Valley. Which has the better fan base?
Tough question. Really, who can say? Who can possibly judge which fan base -- or which team -- is better?
(I can. The Browns are better.)
8. The Sporting News gave the Browns' corps of linebackers an "F." Was this too harsh?
Well, the Browns' new defensive coordinator, former Cowboys head coach Dave Campo, played a big factor in the decision to draft West Texas A & amp;M linebacker Chaun Thompson in the second round. And really, when has Campo ever screwed up?
Henry for Fuller
9. Can Anthony Henry fill the void left by Corey Fuller's departure?
He has a tough task ahead of him, but with a lot of hard work and dedication, I have no doubt that he'll be getting burnt by Hines Ward in no time.
10. What's your prediction for this season?
It's a little early to be making predictions, but I'll do my best. Given the new influx of talent, the experience at the offensive skill positions and the energy that Butch Davis brings, I can say one thing with absolute certainty -- the Browns will once again break my heart.
