CLEVELAND (AP) -- Penny Taylor scored a season-high 22 points and Betty Lennox added 21, helping Cleveland build a 24-point halftime lead en route to beating Washington 89-78 Saturday.
The Rockers (11-11) set a franchise record with 55 points in the first half and had a season-high final point total.
Taylor was 8-of-11 from the field and had a team-leading nine rebounds and five assists. Lennox was 9-of-14 on field goals.
Taylor scored 17 points in the first half, when Cleveland hit 63 percent of its shots.
Chasity Melvin's layup with 14:51 left in the first half started a 23-6 run for the Rockers that made it 29-12. Cleveland widened the lead to 55-31 at the break.
Melvin finished with 12 points. LaToya Thomas scored 16 for Cleveland.
Chamique Holdsclaw led the Mystics (5-17) with 16 points and six rebounds. Coco Miller scored 15, Jocelyn Penn 12.
