XWARREN -- Shannon Kathleen O'Brien and John G. Aslanis were married at 3:30 p.m. June 28 at Sts. Peter & amp; Paul Church. The bride is a daughter of Maureen and Ron Marginian, Bay Hill Drive, Warren, and Dan and Sandy O'Brien, Shelby Road, Boardman. The groom is a son of Michael and Dorothy Aslanis of Westlake and Shirley Aslanis of North Olmsted.
A reception followed at the Trumbull Country Club. The couple live in Marietta, Ga., since returning from a honeymoon trip to Spain, Greece and Italy.
An ivory satin ball gown embellished with embroidery was worn by the bride. The skirt flowed to a semicathedral train.
Linda Futscher was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Kelli Marginian, the bride's sister; Suzanne Boyd; Leslie Aslanis, the groom's sister-in-law; and Leila Sooudi, his sister. They wore deep lavender gowns. The groom's nieces, Taylor, Emily and Rebecca Aslanis, were flower girls.
Best man was Ed Smith, and groomsmen were Nick and Dean Aslanis, the groom's brothers; Ken Boyd; Brad Sale; Neil Stenger; and Mike O'Brien, the bride's brother. Ring bearer was Jacob Boyd, and usher was Donny O'Brien, the bride's stepbrother.
Mrs. Aslanis graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in English and earned a master's in elementary education at Cleveland State University. She is an elementary teacher with Cobb County Schools in Marietta.
The groom also attended Cleveland State University and is a student at Georgia State University.
