XYOUNGSTOWN -- Ruthanne Marie Sitnick and Josef Raymond Schaffer exchanged marriage vows during a 1 p.m. ceremony July 26 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. William Sitnick, 2752 Forest Green Drive, Austintown. Mr. Schaffer is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles O'Neil, 3785 McCarty Drive Canfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Surman, 4280 Burkey Road, Austintown.
Monsignor Michael Cariglio Jr. officiated, and a reception followed in the church hall.
The couple are honeymooning in Las Vegas. They will live in Austintown.
The bride's sister, Annjulie Sitnick, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Stacie Ramsdale, Stephanie Didek, Melanie Vonovick and the groom's sisters, Lisa Freer and Christine Kabalan. They wore lavender gowns. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Makenzie Stewart.
Scott Schaffer, the groom's brother, performed the duties of best man, and serving as groomsmen were Gus Maroulis, Ron Glista, Brian Eichert, Michael Zarlengo and Lenny Staffery. Nicholas Kabalan, the groom's nephew, was ring bearer.
Mrs. Schaffer graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and is employed in consumer loans with Home Savings and Loan Co. in Youngstown.
Her husband is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Culinary Arts and attends YSU. He is employed as a chef at Tippecanoe Country Club in Canfield.
