Pavalko jubilee marked at dinner at Firestone Park



XBOARDMAN -- Firestone Park in Columbiana provided the setting July 12 as Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Pavalko, 668 Angiline Drive, were honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts the event were the honorees' children and spouses, Steve Pavalko, Allan and Maria Pavalko and Diane and Ed Kandray, all of Boardman; Joanne Parsons of Stockbridge, Ga.; Loraine and Michael Stanfar of Canfield; and Wayne and Rima Pavalko of Ellicott City, Md.
The former Mary Ann Matis and Dr. Pavalko were married July 18, 1953, at St. Matthias Church rectory in Youngstown.
Dr. and Mrs. Pavalko are members of St. Michael Church in Canfield.
Mrs. Pavalko was the office manager for her husband, who was a self-employed dentist in Austintown, and retired in 1998. She is a member of St. Michael Altar Guild.
Dr. Pavalko retired in 1998 after 45 years in dental practice. He is a member of Corydon Palmer Dental Society. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and as a dental officer in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
The family circle includes six grandchildren.
