July 14
Theft: Police arrested a 22-year-old Boardman man on a theft charge after a night deposit bag containing $356 and $1,293 worth of checks were stolen from Lens Crafters, 265 Boardman-Poland Road.
Burglary: A woman reported her residence in the 200 block of Ewing Road burglarized, and a candle, a round tin, $55 and a glass bottle taken.
Theft: An employee at Homestead Restoration, 843 McClurg Road, reported someone broke into a company-owned minivan and removed a leather briefcase, a toolbox and three other items.
Criminal damaging: An employee at Midas Auto Service Experts, 5938 Market St., reported finding a bottle bomb someone had thrown onto a parking lot.
Breaking and entering: An employee at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5400 Market St., reported a break-in and two club cars stolen.
Theft: A man reported a credit card and $50 stolen from his locker at Creekside Fitness & amp; Health Center, 1419 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: An employee at Schwebel Bakery & amp; Thrift Store, 965 E. Midlothian Blvd., told police that during an internal investigation, miscellaneous money orders worth $5,083 were discovered stolen.

Recovered property: Police recovered a double-axle trailer in the 7100 block of Mill Creek Boulevard.
Theft: Police charged a 30-year-old New Castle, Pa., man with theft after a mixer and food processor were stolen from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall. He also was charged with probation violation.
Assault: Police arrested a 65-year-old man at his Centervale Avenue residence on a domestic-violence charge after a family member said he assaulted her during an argument.
Theft: A man reported someone stole his wallet while he was at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 100 block of Homestead Drive alleged her son, 25, threatened her and damaged her home.
Arrest: An 18-year-old Boardman man was charged with possession of alcohol by a person under age 21 and possession of marijuana.
Theft: Police arrested two Youngstown boys, 13 and 14, on theft charges after a shirt, two jerseys and a pair of shoes were stolen from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: An employee at As Seen On TV in the Southern Park Mall reported a queen-size bed, two gas scooters and a Hooked on Phonics package stolen.
Arrests: A Struthers woman, 20, and a Boardman woman, 19, were arrested near South Avenue and Mathews Road on charges of obstructing official business. One woman also was wanted on a contempt-of-court charge.

Arrest: A 19-year-old Poland man was arrested in Youngstown on a warrant charging him with receiving stolen property.
Vandalism: An employee at Family Dentist, 43 Roche Way, reported someone splashed an undetermined substance against a side of the building.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 100 block of Roche Way reported a 16-inch planter and various flowers in her front yard damaged.
Theft: A man in the 50 block of Clifton Avenue reported he ordered a $200 exhaust system over the Internet and never received it.
Criminal mischief: A woman discovered an egg broken on her home in the 300 block of Meadowbrook Avenue, as well as a broken beer bottle in her back yard.
Theft: An employee at a McDonald's restaurant in the Southern Park Mall reported $786 was not deposited.
Arrest: A 15-year-old Green Bay, Wis., boy was arrested at the Red Roof Inn, 1051 Tiffany Blvd., on a charge of being a runaway juvenile.

Theft: A man said a 29-year-old woman stole his cellular phone while he stayed at the Wagon Wheel Motel, 7015 Market St.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 1400 block of Fredericksburg Drive reported two spotlights broken and three dents in his home's aluminum siding.
July 17
Arrest: While investigating domestic violence at a residence in the 7900 block of Market Street, police arrested a 25-year-old Boardman man on charges of cultivating marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers say he was in possession of three marijuana plants.
Forgery: A woman in the 4500 block of Simon Road reported someone forged and cashed a $50 personal check at Sky Bank, 7235 South Ave.
Criminal damaging: A Masury woman reported her equipment trailer was damaged while it was parked in the 600 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A boy, 17, and a man, 18, both from Warren, were charged with theft after 13 T-shirts were stolen from J.C. Penney.
Breaking and entering: A man in the 300 block of Meadowbrook Avenue reported someone broke into his garage and removed a pushmower, a 12-foot aluminum extension ladder, a power hand drill and a handsaw.
Domestic violence: A 25-year-old Brookfield Avenue woman was charged with domestic violence after a family member reported being a victim.
Burglary: Police arrested a 37-year-old Boardman man on a burglary charge after a man in the 8400 block of Colwyn Court reported his apartment broken into. A 20-inch TV, a VCR, a computer, a compact disc burner and a cordless phone were taken.
Theft: Police arrested a Youngstown woman, 33, and a Campbell man, 34, on theft charges after an 11-piece set of pots and pans was stolen from Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: After responding to a report of a juvenile with a BB gun, police arrested a 15-year-old Youngstown boy on a charge of receiving stolen property. Officers say he had merchandise stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Criminal damaging: A man discovered someone used a small rock to damage his vehicle's windshield while the car was parked at Salty Grog's, 1203 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damaging: A woman reported someone pushed over her front yard lamppost in the 5500 block of Sharon Drive.
Theft: Someone stole a portable DVD player from Radio Shack, 7131 Tiffany Blvd.

Domestic violence: Police arrested a 28-year-old man on a domestic violence charge after his girlfriend alleged he shoved her to the floor and broke several items in their Massachusetts Avenue residence during an argument about money.
July 19
Possible stolen property: A man in the 500 block of North Main Street reported various pieces of mail had been disturbed and possibly stolen.
July 20
Attempted breaking and entering: A woman in the 20 block of Delaware Avenue discovered a shoe mark on a damaged rear door at her residence, as well as a slide lock removed from a wall.
