HERMITAGE, Pa. -- John W. Rose, president of McAllen Capital Partners in Hermitage, has been elected to the board of directors of F.N.B. Corp. and is serving on the transition team for the proposed reorganization of F.N.B. Rose served as an executive vice president with F.N.B. from 1995 to 1997 and has also held executive positions and board positions with several other financial institutions. He has a bachelor's degree in economics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and a master's in business administration from Columbia University in New York.
WARREN -- Thomas B.J. Letson, a partner in the law firm of Letson, Griffith, Woodall, Lavelle & amp; Rosenberg in Warren, has been appointed chair of both the Judiciary Committee and the Member Training Committee of the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section of the American Bar Association. The section represents more than 22,000 association members, mostly attorneys in private practice.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Tony Burnett and PondScape, his Market Street landscaping company specializing in ponds, streams and waterfalls, were recognized for dramatic growth over the past three years by Aquascape Designs Inc., a large Illinois-based water garden supplier. The company's trade magazine, which ranks water gardening companies based on sales, ranked PondScape at number 121 for 2002, up from 684 in 2000.
