Bucyrus 6, Brookfield 2 -- In the opening round of the Ohio state tournament in Elyria, District 2 champion Brookfield could only muster four hits against District 7 champion Bucyrus. Brookfield was led by Ryan Logan with two hits; Greg Tanner, Aaron Prezgay and Andrew Browning had a hit a piece. The winners were led by the pitching of Pat Wurmer and hitting of Josh Garrett. Wurmer was the winning pitcher, while Andrew Browning took the loss. Brookfield will face District 9 champion West Miami today at 2 p.m.
